Finally!

Yeah...my trying to write a blog every single day has not been going so well. But it's for a good reason, let me tell you! One, I finally got a job! Sure, it maybe be only for a month or so, but money is money and I'm certainly in need of it.
I can certainly say that it's not my dream job, but then again, your first never really is. It's not that bad, don't get me wrong, but I've figured that a daycare really isn't my style. For those who know me, I'm sure you can say that I wouldn't be the best mother material in the world. Little screaming children that I can't punish other than to tell them not to do something again. Yeah...I'm a believer in spanking kids. So sue me.
But certain kids make the job a little bit more fun when they actually do what I ask of them. I have my favorites here and there, but I think that's just the way it is no matter how much you have to say that as a teacher, you can't have favorites.
So $7.50 an hour isn't making a killing, but it's going to help me buy those oh so fun and expensive text books for the next semester.
I am also happy to say that my semester is over! It turned out much better than I thought. I didn't even try on my research paper because I was so tired at that point and still managed to get an A on the paper. I can only hope that my teacher next semester in English 102 is just as forgiving.
The even better news is that I passed College Freaking Algebra! Sure, I got a 50 on my final exam, but I only needed a 37 to pass the class. C, 75% right on the nose! Good bye forever you stupid math class! I passed through the first semester with a 3.429 and the perfectionist in me only wants to push farther!
Then there was finally this thing called Christmas that kept me away from the world of blogging. Now that is something that can't be explained all in one blog. So I'm sure that I'll write a longer one here sooner or later. So I'll hit a few of the highlights.
My boyfriend met my family on my father's side for the first time. And wow...now that was something. He did much better than I ever would have. He talked to people and was much more social than I could ever dream. There was even a point when he was able to sit with my dad and learn how to play card. It's a big deal where I live. If you can't play this game, you fail at life. And not so sadly, I do.
It went wonderfully and I like to think that my family is okay with him. Even if they weren't I wouldn't care because he's probably one of the better things that has happened in my life. It was one of the first Christmases that I enjoyed and didn't feel like an outsider in my family at.
I also, got to meet a lot more of my boyfriend's family as well. I will say that they are probably some of the most interesting people that I have ever met. No, that is not condescending. I genuinely like them, but I just need to keep all those names straight! They really make me laugh. I mean, when I met my boyfriend's cousin, his first thing was, "Oh, so you're not gay."
I almost died laughing. I thought only his brother said things like that, but I guess it runs in the family. Now the only thing that will keep me from my writing is work until school starts and the amazingness that is Okamiden. Yes, I'm addicted to a game about a little cartoon wolf that is a mini sun god. I don't care! I love it and have beat three bosses in the five hours that I have managed to play!
Well, that's all for now. Who knows when I'll be back up and running again. Keep your fingers crossed I guess.
